CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR

Christmas is so close, I can hardly believe it. I only recently finished decorating the house and this year it took ages with all the other projects I have going on. I’ve been sharing some glimpses of our festive décor in the last few weeks but I wanted to do a little house tour too to show you what decorations we have up this year.

We’ve never had a real Christmas tree before, so we were all so excited to get a real one this year. We bought our Nordman Fir from our (small) local Garden centre and it’s probably the loveliest real tree I’ve seen. It’s so big and bushy I love it. It was quite tricky to decorate though (the branches can’t take too much weight) so I mainly used shatter proof baubles. I went for pretty much all white baubles this time and couldn’t be happier with our tree. Minimalist Christmas decor seems to be my thing this Christmas again, although some rooms have more decorations (and bling!) than others obviously.

Our calvanised tree ring is from Cox & Cox and it was so hard to find a stylish tree ring online you wouldn’t believe. Our dining room decorations haven’t really changed from last year. Lots of wreaths and garlands and most of them are from Homebase or Sainsbury’s. I even managed to decorate our bar cart which hasn’t been used a lot lately I’m afraid. I think I need to throw a dinner party soon. Our landing had few  more updates this year. Since I’ve gone for a coastal theme, it was tricky to combine pine wreaths with a coastal look. So, I decided to use faux eucalyptus wreaths and garlands in stead. They are much more subtle but still very festive.I’m going to keep it short and sweet and let the photos do the talking now. Enjoy!

Have a wonderful Christmas!
